Meeting:
Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month in the Board Room of the Washtenaw County Administration Building.
Authority: Established by Resolution 89-0219 adopted to the Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners on August 2, 1989, in conjunction with the Ann Arbor City Council, pursuant to P.A. 511 of 1988.
Compensation: Per Board of Commissioners rules and regulations adopted 01-0003, members receive per diems and mileage reimbursement.
Membership: Resolution 89-0219 established the following membership for the City/County Community Corrections Advisory Board: a. one member shall be a county sheriff, or his/her designee b. one member shall be a chief of city policy department, or his/her designee c. one member shall be a judge of the circuit court or his/her designee d. one member shall be a judge of the district court or his/her designee e. one member shall be a judge of the probate court or his/her designee f. one member shall be a county commissioner one member shall be a city councilperson g. one member shall be selected from one (1) of the following service areas: mental health, public health, substance abuse, employment and training, or community alternative programs h. one member shall be a county prosecuting attorney or his/her designee I. one member shall be a criminal defense attorney j. one member shall be from the business community k. one member shall be from the communications media l. one member shall be either a circuit court probation agent or a district court probation agent m. one member shall be a representative of the general public n. One member shall be an ex-offender (Resolution 89-0294 added another category:) Resolution 89-0294 appointed members to staggered terms with subsequent terms to be three years. BYLAWS: Adopted by resolution 90-0102. Amended bylaws 04-0023 The State Office of Community Corrections indicated that the City and County must adhere to P.A. 511 strictly for voting members. Therefore, Resolution 90-0234 approved the status of Ex-Officio members to the CCAB Board.
