Meeting:
WCHO Board meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month at 6:00pm.

Authority:
Urban Cooperation Act, MCLA 124.501. On July 7, 1999 the Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners and the Regents of the University of Michigan (Resolution 99-0154) entered into an agreement to create a Washtenaw Community Health Organization. Resolution 00-0051 designated the WCHO as the Substance Abuse Coordinating Agency.

Compensation:
Members receive per diem & mileage reimbursement.

Membership:
The Washtenaw Community Health Organization Board is a twelve member body created in compliance with the Urban Cooperation Act MCLA 124.501. The Regents of the University of Michigan will appoint six members and Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners will appoint six members for three year terms staggered for implementation (Resolution 99-0302). For implementation, terms shall begin on January 1, 2000 and expire on March 31. Successive appointment terms shall begin on April 1 and expire on March 31. Each agency shall appoint at least one primary and secondary consumer. A primary consumer is an individual who has received or is receiving services from the Department of Community Health or a community health services program or services from the private sector equivalent to those offered by the Department of Community Health or Community Mental Health Program. A secondary consumer is the family member of an individual receiving services from either Washtenaw County or the University of Michigan.
