Meeting:
Meetings are held, as needed, on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at Western Washtenaw County Service Center, 705 N. Zeeb Rd. in Ann Arbor. (If the third Tuesday is a holiday, then the meeting is held on Wednesday) Meetings are held only when there is an application for a hearing. All hearing requests must be received and paid for 7 working days prior to the hearing date.

Compensation: Members receive per diem and mileage reimbursement.
Membership: "Section 14(1) a Construction Board of Appeals for each governmental subdivision enforcing this act shall be created consisting of not less than three, nor more than seven new members as determined by the governing body of the governmental subdivision. Unless otherwise provided by local law or ordinance, the members of the Board of Appeals shall be appointed for two year terms by the Chief Executive Officer of a City, Village, or Township and the Chairman of the Board of Commissioner of a County. A member of the Board of Appeals should be qualified by experience or training to perform the duties of members of the Board of Appeals. A person may serve on the Board of Appeals of more than one govenrmental subdivision." Resolution 74-0331 designated the Building Code Board of Appeals as the Construction Board of Appeals as prescribed in Section 14 of Act 230 of P.A. of 1972 which requires that each county enforcing the state construction code have a Construction Board of Appeals. Resolution 96-0241 increased the membership to incorporate qualifications of an electrical and plumbing engineers.
