The building authority meets for an annual meeting every 3rd Tuesday in February and as needed.

The three (3) appointed members of the Building Authority receive per diem and mileage.
"The authority shall be directed and governed by a Board of Commissioners of five (5) members known as the "Commission" three (3) of which are to be appointed by the Board of Commissioners of Washtenaw County. The Washtenaw County Treasurer and the Washtenaw County Administrator shall also be members of the Commission. No member of the legislative body of the incorporating unit shall be eligible for membership or appointment to this authority." Terms of office are for six (6) years.
