Quarterly meetings at minimum, in compliance with the Open Meetings Act.

Authority:
Resolution 18-110 formally approved the PIAC (Plan Implementation Advisory Committee) charter. The Washtenaw County Board of Public Works (BPW) authorized the Plan Implementation Advisory Committee (PIAC) to advise in the successful planning and implementation of the goals, objects, and mandates listed in the Solid Waste Management Plan.

Compensation:
Members receive no compensation.

Membership:
PIAC members will constitute a diverse cross-section of stakeholders who have interest, expertise, or position sufficient to meet or exceed the goals and objectives laid out in the Washtenaw County Solid Waste Plan. Membership consists of 3 representatives of local Washtenaw County municipalities (including authorities and other municipal corporations), 2-4 representatives from the general public (must be Washtenaw County Residents), 2 representatives of the solid waste management industry, 2 representatives of institutional/industrial waste generators, 2 representatives from environmental groups, and 1 Board of Public Works liaison. All terms beyond the initial members are for three years, with roughly 1/3rd of the committee expiring each year.
