JOB SUMMARY
|
Under the supervision of a higher classified employee, will be responsible for completing public and departmental map requests as needed using ESRI ArcGIS software. Provide assistance to staff on a variety of other projects. May be required to work in other government agency offices, as tasks require.

Other activities will include assisting with:

Digitizing and editing features

Records research and Watershed Planning
|

Interpret survey descriptions and legal documentation, with extensive use of coordinate geometry
|
EXPERIENCE
|

Qualified applicant will have experience with ESRI, ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online as well as a strong computer background. Education and/or experience in areas related to public administration, geography, surveying, engineering, GPS, cartography, urban or environmental planning is desirable.

Computer skills including: Internet research, Microsoft Excel, Access, Publisher, BS&A Equalizer, Sketch Up, Photoshop, and ESRI ArcGIS suite of products. Familiarity with ESRI Collector.

DURATION OF INTERNSHIP
|

Must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week. A commitment of at least six months is desired.
|

Qualified applicants must be active students in an academic program studying a discipline directly related to the scope of work. Proof of enrollment in an academic program will be required upon hire and every six months afterward.
