JOB SUMMARY
Under the supervision of a higher classified employee, the vaccinator will provide immunizations within the Washtenaw County community utilizing the framework of the Human Services Department and Health Department.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
Essential Duties:

  • Provides COVID-19 vaccinations to Washtenaw County community members and others as identified as priority groups.
  • Assesses immunization status, determines needs and administers immunizations in accordance with human service and public health division policy.
  • Provides consultation and direct services to defined at-risk populations.
  • Maintains up-to-date case records and reports documenting service delivery.
  • Performs other work as assigned.

EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Duties require sufficient mobility to work in non-traditional clinic environment. Most have own vehicle to travel to vaccination clinic locations.
These requirements may be accommodated for otherwise qualified individuals requiring and requesting such accommodation.
EDUCATION
  • Possession of the appropriate degree for RN, BSN, PA, NP, Pharmacist, MD, or DO.
EXPERIENCE
  • Experience in giving immunizations to both adults and children.
LICENSE/CERTIFICIATION
  • EMT, RN, BSN, PA, NP, Pharmacist, MD or DO licensed to practice in Michigan
  • Possession of a valid Michigan vehicle operator's license.
