GENERAL SUMMARY:
|
Under the direction of a higher classified employee, coordinates and participates in the delivery of behavioral psychology services. Trains staff and serves as a technical advisior to agency staff in the application of behavior modification techniques. Conducts psychological evaluations, administers psychological tests and other psychodiagnostic assessment instruments for assessment purposes as necessary.

TYPICAL DUTIES
|

Conducts behavioral assessments, including clinical observations, recommended behavioral interventions and plan for implementation.
|

Devises charts and other instruments to be used by staff in gathering data on client behavior.
|

Consults with staff regarding implementation of behavioral programs, reviewing staff documentation fo client functioning and revising programs as necessary.
|

Trains staff, students and volunteers in the use of behavior modification techniques.
|

Conducts psychological evaluations which may be required for client admission to inpatient settings, guardianship hearings, and annual evauations as needed.
|

May provide clinical supervision to psychology students during their placement with the agency.
|

Administers psychological testing instruments and prepares interpretive reports.
|

May serve on committees,task forces and other groups as assigned.
|

Consults witih members of other agencies regarding behavior interventions for joint clients.
|

Performs other duties as assigned.

EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS
|
EDUCATION
|

M.A. in psychology with a specialization in behavioral sciences or equivalent.
|

Coursework in behavioral assessment and behavioral change is required.
|
EXPERIENCE
|

One year experience as a behavior psychologist with emphasis on assessment of maladaptive behaviors and design of behavior change programs and /or token economy programs.
|
Necessary Special Meet requirements for limited licensure as a psychologist in the State of Michigan
|
